JOB TITLE: Plastics Sales Representative

COMPANY OVERVIEW: Forte Products is a growing 40-year-old plastics and fiberglass manufacturer headquartered in Kansas City, MO; with plants in Kansas and Missouri. We offer our customers a range of processes including injection molding, vacuum forming, rotational molding, CNC finishing and open and closed mold fiberglass. It’s this range of capability that allows us to serve a variety of industries – convenience stores, recreational vehicles & boats, military, waste management, lawn care, agriculture, architectural & airlines. JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage/Grow an existing customer book of business
• Identify/Develop new customers
• Be the “resident engineer” in customer meetings to guide product development and ensure plausible manufacturability
• Understand the variety of manufacturing process and capabilities of Forte Products
• Effectively communicate customer needs to all applicable departments – engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, distribution, finance, management.
• Provide customer reports and updates on a regular basis
• Travel to customer locations, our Kansas City headquarters and our manufacturing plants

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 years of plastics and/or fiberglass industry experience
• Familiarity and ability to read 2D and 3D CAD
• Microsoft Office, Excel and Teams proficiency
• Degree in plastics or related field a plus

Salary Commensurate with experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
